PrivateConnect launched by British Airways and CitationAir
The UK legacy carrier British Airways have formed an agreement with the private jet charter company CitationAir. The two have launched a PrivateConnect service that will offer British Airways customers access to the full fleet of Cessna Citation aircraft.
The service will be available on both sides of the Atlantic and is provided at a pay-per-hour rate with no contract or long-term commitment.
PrivateConnect will be available to all British Airways Executive Club members, organisations holding a corporate account and any passengers who have flown on the airline in the previous twelve months. Those customers using the service will receive escorted transportation between the BA terminal and the CitationAir aircraft
CitationAir customers will also receive benefits from the service when traveling internationally with British Airways. They will be entitled to the same complimentary chauffeured transportation from the FBO to the British Airways terminal.
The service will enable customers with both companies to ease onward travel to and from long haul travel. It will compete with the similar Lufthansa Private Jet operated by the German carrier.
British Airways say that their passengers can now fly to almost any destination in the United States, Caribbean, Mexico and Southern Canada. Robert Boyle, British Airways' Director of Strategy and Business Units, added "Now we can offer our customers a seamless service to fly when they want and where they want in the luxury and privacy of their very own private jet."
Steve O'Neill, CitationAir's Founder and CEO, said "CitationAir's focus is to align with like-minded, world-class organizations that share our passion for excellence and our high standards for extraordinary customer experience."
