The Greek Economy and Our Future

With the Greek economy on the brink of meltdown where is it all going to end?  Unless urgent measures are put in place this could be the start of a collapse of several countries economies.  The European economy was on the start of some growth and now countries are going bankrupt.  I heard that Portugal and Spain could be next.

This will have an affect on our futures but how significant will it be?  How bad does it have to get before people stop flying or is this just politics?

This is an interesting point.

This is an interesting point. This could bring down the Euro and then who knows where the economy will be? I think Greece going bankrupt is bad, Portugal would be bad but, if Spain collapses the Euro is dead.

If the Euro dies, I think we will enter the dark ages for a very long time. As for people flying, that will stop for the foreseeable future.

It was announced today that

It was announced today that Greece are going to receive a 110 billion Euro bailout from Eurozone members and the International Monetary Fund. Lets hope that this can sure up the Euro despite the fears that remain over Spain, Portugal and Northern Ireland, all of whom are struggling with their own debts.

The decision to bail out Greece is still dependent on agreement form all of the 15 Eurozone members. However, the speed with which they have acted will hopefully improve the situation for Europe and its airline industry.
