Freelance Rates - Survivable

I've been thinking about looking for work as a cj fo. I noticed that people are only interested in freelancers, there are no permanent positions in Europe.

I was wondering what constitutes a normal monthly wage? One company said that they would pay first officers with a fresh type rating £2000 a month and copilots with more experience £2500. Then, there is a company, which pays £1500...Are there people out there who only do freelance flying and nothing else and is the wage survivable.

I'm just doing the maths to see if it is worth the investment in a CJ type rating.
