The ancillary art....

Following the announcement by Ryanair that the 'pound to spend a penny' plan is more than a PR stunt the American carrier Spirit Airlines have announced plans to charge for carry-on baggage.  This scheme would see passengers who want to place baggage in the over-head bins facing a charge for the service.

The airline claims it will improve safety and efficiency, with faster boarding and deplaning.  Spirit's rivals JetBlue were quick to react to the news on their company blog with a 'Sherpa Shirt' design.

What are your thoughts on this latest must have item of clothing for any regular traveller?
