Aerial Banner Towing Job

Just a quick question regarding the Aerial Banner Towing job posting. The advert says that experienced pilots are required, but are there any indications of hours/rating requirements?

Thanks.

I have asked the questions

I have asked the questions and I am waiting for a reply. Hopefully they are looking for people with the right attitude rather than thousands of hours.

The banner towing operation

The banner towing operation will be based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The employer will require one pilot for now, but possible increase to 2 pilots in about 6 months after operations. Pilots must have experience in banner towing operations with at least 1,500 hours. The type of aircraft to be flown is C-182, but the final decision has yet to be confirmed by management. It would be good if the pilot has experience in marketing for possible office duties when not flying.

Salary and benefits:

$ 3,000 per month + $ 15 per hour.

Housing accommodation and transportation will be provided.

I am thinking that they are wanting too many hours for this type of workings. I would like the job but I just don't have the hours, can they make the hours less please?

Banner towing is one of the

Banner towing is one of the more difficult, dangerous and stressful jobs in aviation. Only a handful of pilots do it in the UK and to be honest, any enthusiastic applicant needs a shed-load of initiative and an innate ability to both 'wear' the aircraft and deal with flying conditions that make most instructors I know wince!

It's really up there with crop-dusting and aerobatics and experience of either would be a great help. 150 hours or even 250 hours isn't enough experience.

Thanks to airads for the comment. Airads is the most experienced banner towing operator in the UK so, I think they know what they are talking about.

Did some banner towing back

Did some banner towing back in the old days. Pucker factor on the first pick-ups goes up to eleven!

I can see a chance for a sideline here. Drying laundry :Sp

I real fancy the idea of banner towing but the reality I think may be different. I get scared when I fly too close to the ground, 1500ft is low enough for me.

I have five years of banner towing experience using aircraft specifically modified to fly panels up to 7200 sq ft. SuperCubs and Scouts are usually the best aircraft to do the job. If you need a pilot and/or someone to build a banner.
